Anna Katz and Isaac Revette participated in the 2018 Annual essay competition for the 33rd Arthur A. Smith Memorial Award: Anna Katz wrote an essay on "Why Texas Urban Highways Should Be Toll Roads." Isaac Revette's essay was about "Misleading Analysis of the Economic Impact of the New Texas Rangers Stadium."

Anna received an $1000 award for her first-place essay. She was recognized at DABE's Award luncheon meeting on Friday, November 16, 2018.
